Organic or low-budget? Anna or Lena? Child or career? Or preferably both? We have a choice - and with it the agony of being responsible for our own happiness.
We live in a world where everything seems possible, but little is certain. Those who make the right decisions in the "Supermarket of Possibilities" are well served. But that is easier said than done: should we listen to our head or our gut? How do we commit to something without wondering what opportunities we might have missed?
For DECISION MAKING, the Stapferhaus got to the bottom of decisions, asked decision-makers and apprenticeship seekers how they decide and as a result, compiled a list of tips and tricks. Finally, the exhibition DECISION MAKING took visitors to the "Supermarket of Possibilities". It took visitors into the world of job hoppers, lovers unable to commit and non-voters, and finally to the cash register, where they could print out their personal decision maker profile on a receipt - to the realisation that, it’s not just MAKING DECISIONS that shape our lives, but chance and fate inevitably have their say too.
