As a holder of the Kultur Inklusiv label, the Stapferhaus is extremely keen to ensure that all members of society are sustainably integrated into its cultural programme.

Mobility

  • The Stapferhaus has full wheelchair access
  • There is an elevator on all floors
  • The wheelchair-accessible toilet is located on the ground floor.
  • Both the ticket desk and the lockers are accessible from a lower height.
  • Visitors can borrow a wheelchair or a museum stool at the reception desk. Please let us know in advance if you which to borrow a wheelchair for your visit.
  • If coming by car: it is possible to exit the vehicle directly in front of the museum. The Stapferhaus has no parking spaces. There is a wheelchair parking space available in the post office car park, 100 metres next to the Stapferhaus.

Hearing

The events space contains an induction loop for hearing aids. All films have German, French and English subtitles. Introductions and tours for groups can also be held in Swiss-German Sign Language on request.

The exhibition brochure can be obtained at the ticket office. Due to
organisational reasons, it will only be made available once the
exhibition has started.

Orientation and text

There is an orientation guide for the exhibition. The orientation
guide can be obtained at the reception desk and is available in the
exhibition. It is written in simple language. For organisational
reasons, the orientation guide can only be elaborated once the
exhibition is inaugurated.

Seeing

We integrate audio and tactile elements into every exhibition.

The Stapferhaus is situated directly at the railway station of Lenzburg.
Exit the station onto Bahnhofstrasse, then cross the street and walk
straight ahead for 20 metres.

Events and tours

Tours can be individually adapted to suit participants’ needs – just let us know beforehand.

In the Agenda section of the website you can find out more about scheduled tours around the exhibition "Nature. And us?" in sign language.

Further inclusive events are currently being planned – we’ll let you know all about these in advance and make sure they’re clearly marked as such in the Agenda.

Assistance

Carers receive free entry to the museum. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted in all areas of the Stapferhaus.

The educational staff and security guards are happy to assist with visitors’ individual needs. We’re also very keen to hear your suggestions for further improvements.
